Papaya has long been used to make homemade face masks because of its many beneficial properties. High in healing enzymes, papaya can be used to treat sunburned or irritated skin. As I live in sunny Island, I discovered this mask make my skin so bright, radiant and healthy.
Papaya, also called the ‘fruit of the angels’, is rich in vitamins A, C and E, and has antioxidant properties. It hydrates your skin, keeps it soft and removes acne, blemishes, dark spots and other similar problems. It also contains alpha hydroxy acids that naturally exfoliate the skin and help maintain youthful skin, thanks to their anti-aging properties.
By adding a small amount of lemon juice and honey in to the mask, it will keep your skin well hydrated, improve your skin tone and makes your skin soft and smooth.
How to do:
All you need is 1 middle cup of Papaya cubes, 1 tbsp fresh Lemon juice and 1 tsp Honey.
Peel a ripe, firm papaya. Remove the seeds and chop into small pieces. Place the papaya honey and lemon juice into a blender, and run it until a soft smooth paste is formed. Apply right out of the blender, making sure you avoid the eye area. Papaya is watery and may drip, so it’s better if you lie down while the mask is on. Leave the mask on for 10 min. Rinse off with warm water. Do not rub the skin too hard with the towel, and don’t apply makeup or creams immediately after.
This mask is also good for the skin of the neck and shoulders.
