Pineapple, Mango Vitamin booster

Let’s start this Sunday off right… with super smoothie bowl!  Pineapple is one of my favorite fruits to include in a smoothie and this one uses pineapple along with some mango.

I love to start my day off with a smoothie.  Something about that fresh fruit flavor that wakes up my taste buds, which in turn helps wake up all of my other senses.

Turn on some tropical music and close your eyes while you sip this – imagine you are laying on a warm beach catching some rays.  It is amazing how food can help take you to a place when you need it.  Mix up this smoothie and escape to your own tropical paradise.

Ripe mango and pineapple combined in a lip smacking fresh fruit smoothie is a marriage made in heaven that is blessed with lots of health benefits and sweet smooth taste. This smoothie delight is prepared with Almond milk, Chia seeds, honey and pinch of Turmeric. 

Recipe:

  • 1 cup Mango chunks (fresh or frozen)
  • 3/4 cup Pineapple chunks ( fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup Almond milk or Coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp Chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp Oat meal
  • 1/2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • Goji berries on top

Direction:

Pour Almond milk in a blender jar. Add Mango chunks, Pineapple chunks, Honey, Oat meal, Turmeric and chia seeds. Blend until fruits are well mixed and smooth. Check the consistency. If required, add more milk to reduce thickness or add more fruits to thicken it. If you’re using fresh fruits add some ice cube. Pour into a glass or smoothie bowl and garnish with some Goji berries Oat meal and Chia seeds.
